Profile

Andrew Kreig became Wireless Communications Association International (WCA) President and CEO in 1997 after serving as its Vice President and General Counsel. As President, he led WCA's focus onto advanced technologies, and its membership growth from 149 member companies in 1997 to 200 leading providers of broadband wireless services on six continents. His research interests include real-world impact of telecom/IT policies on markets in the U.S. and globally; efficiencies enabled by new technologies in such high-needs fields as education, health care, public safety and military preparedness; and the evolving economic relationship of new and traditional media. He left the organization in 2008, and is now Managing Director, Eagle View Capital Strategies.

An attorney active in Washington, D.C. public affairs and a frequent commentator on advanced technology issues, he has been listed for more than a dozen years in such reference books as Who’s Who in America, Who's Who In The World and Who's Who In Finance & Industry. Previously, he worked at Latham & Watkins in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, and served as law clerk to now-Chief U.S. District Judge Mark Wolf in Boston. Earlier, he was a newspaper, magazine and TV journalist, and authored Spiked: How Chain Management Corrupted America's Oldest Newspaper (1987), a widely-reviewed book about the newspaper industry.
